Jerald Tan
Jerald, a keyboardist with a background in classical piano, loves experimenting with various music styles – pop, rock, mando-pop/canto-pop and R&B are but some of the styles he’s picked up over the years.
Having received mentorships from esteemed musicians like Christy Smith, Aya Sekine, Joshua Wan and Chok Kerong, Jerald’s unique artistic sense is what sets him apart from other musicians in his batch.
Work
As an established keyboardist, Jerald has contributed to Singapore’s music scene through various performances at key locations, including Turandot (2018–2019), District9 (2019), Stage (2019), Tipsy (2019), Starkers (2019–2020) and Pixie (2020). He was also the resident keyboardist at Club IICON (2022) and Mavericks Singapore (2022–2023), the latter of which he is currently the resident bassist at.
During his time in LASALLE, Jerald performed for the annual LASALLE Diploma in Music Showcase (2021) and for the annual LASALLE Rock & Indie Festival (2021).
